100 Words: Night people

I am presently living a nocturnal life. Getting home before 5:00 am is a rare event.

I live alone and love socializing. Those facts have turned me into a night owl. Also, I don't need to get up early for work.

I sometimes  wonder what reasons motivate others who also choose to permanently dwell in the darkest hours.

Are they damaged or displaced souls?

Are they running away from others or even from themselves?

Are they running away from things they did and things they didn't do?

Or maybe, like myself, it is all those things, and much much more..

:)

  1. Love it Joe. Very melancholy and slightly dark - just my type of thing.

  2. The only thing that never changes is that everything changes... Throughout life we go through these stages, living the nights and sleeping the days? Done it myself here and there, mainly for work (sometimes for party)
These days I sleep at night and play all day...for now!

    1. Indeed Tempo, nothing stays the same. The trouble is I want to play all night and most of the day :)

  3. ooh, i like this post. But aren't most night owls a little bit anti-social? I have a feeling you don't fit into any molds.

  4. Thank you Nessa for your kind words. You are quite right, I don't fit into those molds but may carry traces of all. But I am definitely a "social" night owl :)
