Islam Is Not To Blame. Raif Is A Muslim

Almost all terrorist atrocities of late are committed by Muslims.  Often under the well-rehearsed cry of Allahu Akbar.

With every attack, support for Israel increases - an inflammatory consequence which adds fuel to the fires of an already volatile situation.

Islamophobia in the West continues to flourish with every evil deed, giving the terrorists exactly what they want. The more alienated and disenfranchised Muslims feel in the West the easier they are to recruit. A perpetual supply of jihadis for all planned future campaigns agains the West, The East, and even more surprisingly, the Middle East is the ultimate aim of the extremists.

Let's not make the mistake of helping terrorism.

Islam has been hijacked by the jihadis and is being used as a tool to legitimise murder, intolerance, racism, slavery and most dangerously, a political ideology drenched in the blood of all those who dare oppose it. Most victims are also Muslims.

And it all started in Saudi Arabia.

Just over a hundred years ago, back in 1902, the Wahhabi Clan of present day royals of Saudi Arabia launched a ferocious attack against the neighbouring 3 tribal regions of what is now Saudi Arabia. Murder, rape and slavery won the day back then, and all the atrocities were committed in the name of Allah and Sharia Law. But of course, religion was not the reason for the greed and lust for power of the Saud Clan.

Those actions of a century ago are almost entirely responsible for spawning all of the present day jihadi ideology. Conquer at all costs and destroy all who stand in the way.

The House of Saud should not be considered a friend and ally of the West, for it is a corrupt dictatorship ruling over an oppressed and unjust society.

The House of Saud finances the building of mosques in western countries, yet refuses to allow the construction of churches in Saudi Arabia for the very few Christians who live there.

Osama Bin Laden was a Saudi.

And the House of Saud continues to promote religious intolerance and to stifle all dissent.

Voices such as that of writer and campaigner for freedom of expression and women's rights, Saudi citizen, Raif Badawi.

Raif was condemned to 10 years in prison and 1000 lashes, to be administered every Friday, 50 at a time, for 20 consecutive weeks.

The first session took place yesterday, in public, and was filmed secretly by a few who risked their own life and liberty in order to tell the world.

I watched the clandestine video and it turned out to be as I had half expected; a quiet, sedate public flogging of lightly administered lashes unlikely to have caused any damage to Raif. The Saudi authorities knew the world would be watching, thanks to a campaign by Amnesty International through social media. Had that not been the case one can assume the flogging would have been a lot more damaging.

Raif wrote in his blog nothing more than light criticism for the way Saudi Arabia is governed. That's all.

Islam is guilty of many injustices, as are all other religions, but it can't be used as a cause to further alienate and persecute Muslims who have chosen to live in Western countries.

Those of you who know me know I never defend religion, in fact the opposite is true, but I always defend justice.

After all, did we blame all Irish for the actions of the IRA some decades ago?  

No, we didn't. Well I certainly didn't. It would have been unfair. Just as it is unfair to blame

/or the vast majority of Muslims who have nothing to do with the atrocities committed in the guise of holy war. 

The present day extremists are driven by greed and delusion, just as Ibn Saud was back in 1902.

Raif is a Muslim. A Muslim I want to help. A Muslim I'd have as a friend. 

Just like the Muslim French policeman executed outside the Charlie Hebdo headquarters whilst on duty, by murderous men who claim to be Muslims.

Sweden?...Why?

Not that terrorist acts ever make much sense, but some cases are totally incomprehensible. I refer in this case to the suicide bomber from Sweden and Luton who decided to spread his pitiful mortal remains on Stockholm’s pavements.

Had this act of madness occurred in Palestine, Iraq or Afghanistan, it would have made a lot more sense to me; but Sweden? The land of the fair and free?

I don’t believe it has anything to do with Lars Vilks cartoon mocking Muhammad or even Sweden’s involvement in Afghanistan. The real reasons go much deeper than that.

Too right they were not professionals; they are deranged, brainwashed, unstable and unable to think for themselves.

Islam is being hijacked by deluded psychopaths who mistakenly believe they are waging war in the name of Allah. The whole idea of “suicide bombers” beggars belief. Only the mentally unstable are capable of committing suicide.

Sweden is probably the last place on earth I would expect to be targeted; for a number of reasons.

Sweden is, according to UN statistics, one of the nations with the most satisfied population in the world.

The Swedish people are free, forward-thinking, tolerant, and well looked after by the state, after decades of good social policies that have enhanced the quality of life for all its citizens.

Sweden is also successful and affluent, democratic and fair, unlike the nations these pitiful terrorists think they represent. And here, I suspect, lays the main reason for these acts of violence.

I think it is all to do with envy. Yes, ENVY.

As I have mentioned in previous posts, envy seems to be the driving force in this unholy war, or more precisely, culture clash. Envy at the fact that Sweden has (along with other western nations) broken away from the shackles of religion and created fair democratic and decent conditions for their people. So much so that vast numbers of Muslims, year on year try, to immigrate to these very same nations. It is after all, one-way traffic.

But societies these terrorists think they represent are often the complete opposite; barbaric, oppressive, unjust and backward-looking, whose peoples are governed by medieval laws. They are societies that openly discriminate against gender, sexual and religious freedoms and pay no attention to human rights.

It’s now up to the decent Muslim people around the world to rise up and fight the cancer within their midst.

Will this silent majority really rise to the challenge? I have my doubts. But if they don’t, they will inevitably pay the price of burying their heads in the sand.

Terrorist Alert ; an open letter

Dear terrorists,

I would like to ask you to stop your hate filled and senseless campaign against the West, with immediate effect.

"Stop the killing"

You are wasting your time, effort, money and innocent lives on the wrong cause. Yes, the wrong cause.

I know you say you are angry with the West for many reasons - the main one being America's support for Israel.

According to you, that is, but I am not fooled by it. I believe, along with many other sensible people that the main reason  for you hatred is envy. Yes, pure and simple envy.

The lame excuse of America supporting Israel being your main gripe is utter bullshit. America and the rest of the West have to support Israel because you and your followers are hell-bent on destroying it! In fact you and your followers are hell-bent on destroying too many things, most noticeably;

western economies, innocent lives, civilisations (more advanced than yours), women's rights, children's rights, gay rights, animal rights, democratic rights, freedom of religious choice, to name but a few.

Does it not perturb you and your followers to know that it is all "destroy, destroy" instead of "improve, improve" ?

Does it not make you think that "destruction" is not conducive with "improving" life?

Or is the envy so powerfully ingrained in your minds that you lose all common sense and dignity?

I believe you would do better redirecting your efforts and skills to building better societies in the countries you represent! Now that, is a real necessity.

You see, we here in the West know what kind of societies you represent. Numerous reports reach us via the media on a daily basis. Terrorism, public executions, lack of human rights, lack of basic hygiene, lack of food, lack of democracy...in fact a lack of most life-enhancing basic necessities. The only things you seem to have plenty of are corruption and terrorism. So why are you trying to impose on the West the very life-style so many of your people would dearly like to leave behind? It is a fact that much of your population would, and indeed do, relocate in search of better lives to the very countries your want to destroy!

Can you not see the irony in that? I'm sure you can.
You see terrorists, if you were to give up on this useless crusade (no pun intended) of trying to destroy the West, you would gain many friends and support from around the world. And with a bit of luck you would even gain the strength and support to remove your corrupt leaders and modernise your societies.

That's the way to create a win-win situation for everybody, don't you think? Much better than your chosen way of murdering men, women and children.

Here in the West, we have learned from history that the path to progress and prosperity comes from having a happy and well-cared for population. And to get that, governments need to be fair, law-abiding, honest and above all, democratic. It's not rocket science, is it? It's so bloody easy!

Do you really believe that you will ever win this so called "war" of yours?

Open your eyes and minds to the truth and common decency, not to the hate-filled bigoted leaders who preach hatred and holy war. There is no such thing as a holy war. It's all a figment of your poisoned imaginations.

So please stop inflicting pain in the world. Stop biting the hand that feeds you and instead work towards a better future for the forsaken people you think you represent.

war on terrorism?..then get off the fence

It infuriates me when governments publicise their intention to declare war on terrorism but do little about it. I refer in particular to the Pakistani government. We all know that Pakistan is not doing enough to rid their country of the Al Qaeda supporting Taliban.

President Asif Ali Zardari should and could mobilise his forces and kick out the Taliban but it is not happening.

Why..? It obviously has to do with part of the northern Pakistani population supporting the "cause", as in the fight against the "infidel" (America), so to speak.

David Cameron has yesterday, in his visit to India, spoken out against this situation and I must say, I now respect him a lot more than I did before. So if Cameron has spoken out and rightly accused Pakistan of procrastinating, why are there Pakistani protesters outside 10 Downing Street? Why has the Pakistani government complained about this statement? Everyone but the Pakistanis know this to be true!!

Come on Pakistan, kick out the Taliban and join the world community, where you belong. Educate your people and free them from the shackles of the past.

You know it's the right thing to do.

Biting the hand that feeds them...

It's a tragedy to know and hear about the so called "homegrown terrorists" in our midst. What drives these born-in-the-UK kids to enlist and hero-worship terror groups? Could they have been so displaced and wronged by our society as to resent it to death? No...I don't think so.
As with all of humanity's evils, I place the blame firmly and unequivocally with the parents of the perpetrators. The brain-washing and mis-information would need to start at a very young and impressionable age.
Not all Muslims are terrorists but nearly all terrorists are Muslim.
The parents of these misguided would-be terrorists arrived at our shores ,decades ago. Some, if not most, failed to integrate under the misconception that western values and morals were decadent and not up to their standard. Of course we all know they were wrong, but these same parents managed to influence their children with their archaic views of ancient tribal rivalry, intolerance and xenophobia.

Parents mould their children's characters.
Parents influence and shape their children's views.
Parents teach moral values and aspirations.
...and parents should teach their children not to bite the hand that feeds them.

So, a new approach is needed to try to avoid this modern-day phenomenon, from continuing to blight our lives.

The social services need to get more involved with the up-bringing of children from backgrounds likely to produce terrorism. With all the technology at our disposal, it can't be too difficult.
